Underlords
An Underlord is an entity with no physical presence in the world, but is able to exert their influence through the construction of dungeons and attracing minions to their dungeon. An Underlord is tied to their Dungeon Core, if the Core is destroyed then the Underlord is cast out. If the Dungeon Core in their Home Realms is destroyed, then the Underlord is banished to the Aether. An Underlord can return after being banished, but it seems to take a lot of time.
As the player, you take the role of an Underlord. In the campaigns you control a specific, named Underlord. In the main War for the Overworld campaign, you control Oberon. For the Heart of Gold campaign, you control Kasita. While in the Under Games, you can choose between Kasita, Shale, Lamash, and Volta.
